Statistics, analytics & reporting overview

One of the most improved areas of PayWhirl version 2 is the brand new reporting and analytics section

Written by Larry Brager

There are dozens of charts/graphs, reporting views, and all new data exports. Not to mention that you can sort, filter, and export any of the tables that you find in PayWhirl V2 by clicking the "export .csv" button at the top of the table you're working with.

For example, you can use the "Subscriptions Tab" to filter subscriptions by status (Active, Paused, Canceled, or Expired) and export the filtered data as a CSV file for further analysis. Additionally, the dashboard provides a high-level overview of subscription performance, including upcoming payment schedules and recent activity.

Note: Clients on the starter plan only have access to the Data Export section. Advanced metrics, such as the Subscription Report and Growth Forecast Report, are only available on monthly paid plans. You can find the new analytic and reporting tools in the main menu under the Analytics tab.

The MRR Report gives you an overview of your monthly recurring revenue and top performing plans:

The Subscription Report gives you details on how long your customers are staying subscribed as well as the total revenue each plan has generated.

You can also calculate churn rate using the formula: [(Unsubscribes in a given month ÷ Total subscribers at the start of that month) × 100]. For example, if you start the month with 100 active subscribers and 8 cancel during the month, the churn rate is [(8 ÷ 100) × 100 = 8%]. This metric helps you understand customer retention over time.

The Customer Report shows where your subscribers are located and who your top revenue earners are.

The Growth Forecast Report give you estimates on projected growth based on past sales numbers and churn rates.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
The PayWhirl Team
