PayWhirl's Post Checkout Up-Sell gives you the option to send customers directly to another widget's checkout rather than directing them to a Thank You Page or the PayWhirl Customer Portal. In this article, we will detail the steps to set-up a Post Checkout up-sell by directly linking to another Widget's Checkout from your Original (Base) Widgets checkout.
Step 1: Create the (UpSell) Pricing Table Widget (1 Section) you are redirecting to
To start the Post Checkout Up-Sell process, you will want to create the Payment Plan and Widget you wish to direct your customers after they complete their checkout. Since you want to direct customers to one specific option after checkout, you will only need 1 payment plan connected to 1 section of a Pricing table widget. (Please note this set-up required you use a Pricing Table Widget set to have 1 section.)
Step 2: Create a Shopify Page to embed your (UpSell) Widget/ Embed Buy Button Widget code to your Shopify Page.
Next, you will want to create a Shopify Page where you can embed your Pricing table widget's (with section/payment plan) Buy-Button code. Please note, to complete the redirect, you need to embed a PayWhirl Widgets' buy button code redirect. If you use the Widget embed Code, the Widgets' checkout will not pop-up upon the Thank You Page redirect.
Step 3: Create the thank your page re-direct URL
Once your PayWhirl widget is embedded to your Shopify Page, you are ready to create the custom Shopify URL to paste into your original widgets "custom thank you" page URL".
First, you will want to find your Shopify Url Structure, from there you will want to add ?pw-launch= plus the unique Id of your widget (00000-11111-190999-1111 is string of numbers corresponds to the widgets on your Shopify Page (Below)
For example, the URL below is a SAMPLE url from a Shopify Store which is being re-directed to a specific PayWhirl widget's checkout using the code ?pw-launch=
Ie. https://chrisdemostore.myshopify.com/pages/coffee-upsell?pw-launch=3500c294-fd65-4d29-9844-7959a121ce7d
Now that you have your custom Shopify Re-direct code complete, you are ready paste it to your Base widget's Custom Thank you Page URL
Step 4: Copy and Paste the code to the base Widget's Custom "thank you" page URL
Now you are ready to go through your Base Widget's checkout (above) and after checkout you will be re-directed to your (Up-Sell) pricing table widget (Coffee Up-Sells).
If you notice the checkout above, when they complete checkout they are re-directed to another page where your (Up-Sell) Pricing Table Widget's checkout page Automatically pops up. This allows customers to complete their checkout and add on additional products after without having to navigate to another page find a second widget and complete a second checkout process.
